Day 31: Long Lost "Ema"

Quick post before bed:

Today was a great day in school... the classes went well, from beginning to end, and it was overall a really good day.  One of my non-speakers in 3rd grade even WON the game that we played!!  Awesome awesome.  Got home in reasonable time... got a little bit of work done, and got time to hang out.

Irina was making pancakes with me for dinner tonight when she remembered that it was Tracey's birthday.  Tracey was an old host daughter that she and Karl had in '96, and she got very upset talking about it, because she hadn't been able to get in touch with Tracey for years, and began crying, which just upset me even further.  I called the alumni office and got Tracey's cell phone number, but also did some online creeping and found her also on Facebook, thanks to Nils' suggestion, and ended up being able to Skype with Tracey and have Irina and Tracey chat on the Skype video chatting.  It was a wonderful reunion, and it was so sentimental and sweet.

Going to bed now... taking Grace and her sister, Shelby to the ballet tomorrow evening :)  We're going to see Romeo and Juliet in the FRONT ROW!!  Very exciting!!

More later.

Virginia
